The direct, almost tangible experience of working with different materials, their texture, resistance and mutual reactions, continues to stimulate and fascinate me again and again.

Working with a wide range of materials intrigues me not only because of their physical qualities, but also because of the meanings they carry. I am interested in the way materials interact with one another, how they merge harmoniously or create tension, in the subtle texture of an endpaper, in the dialogue between spray paint and oil pastel, or in the continuous movement of a pencil across the surface.

Despite the diversity of materials I explore, from abstract material studies to series in which figuration and abstraction find a dynamic balance, my signature as a maker remains clearly recognizable. A serial approach forms the core of my practice, as well as a strong enjoyment of experimentation. I often work on several series simultaneously, allowing them to touch, intersect or strengthen one another. This way of working leads to unconventional uses of collage, layered compositions and a rich, narrative visual language.

My working method and themes reveal a strong need to shape the process of making in my own way, driven by curiosity, dedication and an open attitude. My work arises from an inner necessity, aptly captured in the German expression “aus innerer Notwendigkeit”, the urge to create because it cannot be otherwise. This translates into a natural flow within my practice.

My work reflects on contemporary society and the ways in which people relate to one another. Driven by a deep fascination with these dynamics, I explore themes of connection, freedom, and space. The works unfold as expressive gestures that are at times restrained, at times poetic, inviting quiet reflection on the relationships that shape our shared world.
