Beings
Medium: Collage, photography

My work begins with collage. By collecting and layering fragments, images and materials, I create compositions where unexpected connections can emerge. The process allows the materials to guide the work as much as my own intentions.

Through this practice I reflect on the human desire to distinguish ourselves from animals. Yet in observing everyday behavior, it becomes apparent that this separation is fragile. Beneath our systems and identities, traces of instinct continue to surface. The ways we organize, compete, gather and care often mirror patterns long present in the animal world. Rather than standing outside of it, we remain entangled within it.

This series approaches that tension with curiosity and humor. By combining human symbols with subtle references to instinct and behavior, the work reflects on the thin and sometimes absurd line between human and animal.
